The R.O.A Hunt Club uses Field Marshals to ensure the safety of all its hunters. The Field Marshall(s) (FM) is a person chosen at the time of a Deer Drive or Dove/Quail Hunt to coordinate and ensure safety of the hunt. Their primary responsibility is to maintain order, set boundaries, enforce the club rules and regulations, as well as make and enforce conditional rules set forth by the FM, on the field during the hunt. The FM(s) will always have absolute control of the hunt; all members will adhere to the rules set forth by the Field Marshall. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
1. The FM(s) will generally be one of the standing Board members.
2. Should a Board member not be available, the FM(s) will be chosen by the group there.
3. A FM(s) should be the person/member with the most experience at the hunt.
4. The FM(s) will be a member with longer than one term, year, in the club (Exception Board Member).
5. They FM(s) will be a member in good standing and without any rule violation.
6. The FM(s) will be responsible to the Board for all situations that happen under their watch.
1. The FM(s) will ensure that all in attendance follow the club rules and regulations.
2. The FM(s) will assess the hunt and field conditions and make a determination if additional conditions or rules concerning safety are needed.
3. The FM(s) will make sure that all hunters on the field follow rules set forth by the FM(S)
4. The FM(s) will organize the hunters in such a way that they deem to be the safest for all involved.
5. The FM(s) will ensure that if unsafe conditions are seen, then FM(s) will advise member(s) to comply or make changes to ensure safety.
6. The FM(s) will have full power to stop the hunt and exercises disciplinary actions should they be needed.
7. The FM(s) can suspend the hunter for a time or send hunter home depending on the violation.
8. The FM(s) will make sure that all hunters are responsible for themselves, and all members are held accountable for their associate members, and the guests.
To ensure the long-term stability of our club and our hunting land and privileges, we require that our members practice and maintain the highest of hunting ethics, good sportsmanship, and safe weapons handling.
